The Whimsical State Park In Arkansas That’s Like Something From A Fairy Tale
Devil’s Den State Park is a best state park for young Arkansans since it’s filled with dragon caves, troll bridges, enchanted forests, and other fairy tale inspiration. Let’s use a bit of imagination and take a stroll through this whimsical state park.
Devil's Den State Park could easily have been taken out of a fairy tale.
You'll find this beloved state park at 11333 AR-74, West Fork, AR 72774.
You could say it's from a tale as old as time.
In fact, folks have been making memories at Devil's Den since the 1930s.
It wouldn't hurt to bring breadcrumbs so no one gets lost along the trails...
Following the trail markers or the free maps might work too.
...otherwise you may wind up at the witch's cottage.
It's definitely not just a spring house.
The forests within the park are rather enchanting...
Besides having designated campsites, Eleven different trails also zigzag through the forests.
...they're a great place to learn about fantastic beasts and where to find them.
The state park also routinely holds events to learn about all the forest's creatures.
You may get stopped by trolls when crossing the old road bridge.
The trolls were really impressed by the craftsmanship of the CCC and their use of native stones.
Be careful you don't get snagged by a dragon when posing in front of the caves.
We may be considering bats as tiny dragons.
No matter if you're testing your endurance for knighthood along the trails or just reenacting Sleeping Beauty in your tent, a trip to Devil's Den will be one for the books.
This is one trip will end with a happily ever after for everyone.
We would love to hear about your last enchanting visit to Devil’s Den, share your tales with us in the comments below!
