Head into to Ozarks and discover the treasures of Kingston Square Arts. This historic general store is home to over a dozen local artists of every craft imaginable. Fall in love with the entire area and take home a little bit of the Ozarks during your journey to Kingston. Let's stop in the shop and see what art awaits:
Please note, Kingston Square Arts has permanently closed.
The tiny town of Kingston may just be a dot on the map but it's a gateway to dozens of destinations.
This town of 600 or so is surrounded by cabins, pretty drives, and endless natural beauty. Within 20 miles of the town is the Buffalo National River, Lost Valley, Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch, and Hawksbill Crag (just to name a few).
One of the in-town stops to make is at Kingston Square Arts.
This historic general store has been around for generations but a relatively new business is currently residing inside, the Kingston Square Arts. They've been in business since 2018.
No cookie cutter boutique here! Kingston Square Arts features over a dozen local artists and their wares.
Every artist lives within 50 miles of the Kingston for true Ozark-made art. The craftsmanship covers a wide range of art forms including leather, wood, paper, baskets, and even gourds!
Inside the shop you'll peruse through a variety of locally-made crafts.
Shop for tasteful art and tasty treats! It won't take long to find a one-of-a-kind souvenir but you can easily spend an hour taking in all the talent.
Much of the art of display has once been a work-in-progress at the shop.
Depending on when you visit you may catch one of the artists in action working on their next piece. There's nothing quite like watching a loom weaver or pottery sculptor create a work of art.
In addition to viewing working artists, the shop also offers classes!
These workshops have limited spots for a more one-on-one approach to different crafting. Learn how to make paints and soaps or learn the techniques needed for weaving and fabric dying.
Kingston Square Arts is more than a store - it's a preservation of Ozark crafting!
Some see the art for yourself (and find some to take home, too) at Kingston Square Arts. For more information like the workshop schedule head to their website. See more of the day-to-day activities by following their Facebook Page.
