The Arkansas Nature Conservancy owns and protects the thousands of acres surrounding the Deck House. In 2013, the Conservancy bought the vacation home as a unique way to raise money for their efforts. Every stay at the Deck House helps with their conservation efforts. From the deck you'll be able to see miles of the Kings River and an endless view of the surrounding forests. If you're able to pull your eyes away you can hike along the private trail. The Kings River Deckhouse Trail is a two mile there-and-back that leads to a stunning limestone bluff overlook.
