Arkansas backroads are known for holding hidden treasures but typically waterfalls and springs come to mind. County Road 54 happens to lead to the best gourmet bistro around.

If it didn't have the signs, you wouldn't guess this antique barn houses the most delectable dishes.

The renovated barn is over 100 years old. The cafe is part of the owner's family farm. Flora Lombardo had the barn restored and named it after her brother Dannie.

You'll instantly feel at home in the intimate rustic setting.

Walk-ins are welcome but it wouldn't hurt to make reservations since seating is limited.

Sipping on wine and drinking in the back patio view is an option, too.

The whole area is simply gorgeous.

Dannie's Cafe routinely hosts cooking classes so you can bring their unique flare into your own kitchen.

Typically the cafe hosts two classes a month, you can sign up and see when the next class is by following their Facebook Page.

We had to restrain ourselves from using too many food photos. You really cannot go wrong with ordering any of the dishes. If we included all of our favorites (i.e., the whole dang menu), you'd be scrolling for the rest of the day.

Most of the recipes come from family and friends, but some of the others are from renowned chefs like Julia Child and Wolfgang Puck.
