This Tiny Roadside Farmers Market In Arizona Is Too Good To Pass Up
Enormous farmers markets are nice, but there’s something about an intimate roadside stand that completely elevates the experience. Tucked away in a Phoenix suburb, Summer’s Fruit Barn has been selling produce on the side of Baseline Road for years. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, keep an eye out for this hidden gem.

This is Summer’s Fruit Barn, the metro’s most underrated destination for fresh, local, organic fruit.

The best part? Everything is extremely affordable! You can score a box of organic berries for right around $1.

Honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon, and several lesser-known varieties absolutely melt in your mouth. The workers are always eager to give samples, so don’t be afraid to ask!

From Medjool to Deglet Noor and everything in between, the wide selection is deliciously overwhelming. Whether you like ‘em plump and chewy or smaller and on the dry side, there’s something for everyone.

The collection includes all of the usual suspects like peach and strawberry, but also introduces lesser-known varieties like cactus and lime. Don’t knock it ‘til ya try it!

One spoonful of this healing nectar is enough to kick even the most aggressive allergies to the curb.

Deli sandwiches are piled high with fresh veggies and many smoothies feature sugary-sweet dates. Stay a while and dine at one of the picnic tables, or take your meal on the road - the choice is all yours.
Let’s take a virtual tour of the market, shall we?
