Start having those sweet dreams a little early this year, when Scottsdale’s 5th Avenue transforms into a magical nutcracker village on Saturday, December 8th! With ballet performances, tea parties, and appearances by fairies, princesses, and the Snow King & Queen, this whimsical holiday event starts the most wonderful time of year off with a bang.
Throughout the entire month of December, Old Town Scottsdale becomes a whimsical world of holiday cheer at the delightful Scottsdazzle event. Lights, decorations, themed activities, and festive entertainment bring the magic to Southern Arizona.
Merchants line the streets, selling handcrafted ornaments and other one-of-a-kind holiday trinkets. Finding a special gift for all of the important people in your life can seem like an impossible task, but this one-stop spot makes it so much easier.
Each day offers plenty of excitement, but we're marking our calendars for December 8th, when 5th Avenue will be transformed into a fanciful nutcracker village that promises to warm the hearts of both young and old.
Sugarplum fairies, princesses, and a Snow King & Queen make appearances all afternoon. Just one look at their sparkly tutus puts a twinkle in the eye of every child.
Aerial performances, candy land bounce houses, and hourly performances of the original Nutcracker ballet are just a few events visitors can look forward to. The characters will be out and about greeting everyone, so don't miss an opportunity to say hi!
Tea parties, complete with teacup china and miniature desserts, will be held every hour from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Whether you're a tiny tot or young at heart, this charming date with a table full of fairies is guaranteed to give everyone sweet dreams.
Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available for those who want to experience the fun in a traditional way. Even these gentle giants are showing off their holiday spirit!
When 7 p.m. arrives and the Nutcracker spell is broken, 5th Avenue becomes a regular street once more - well, if your idea of regular involves over one million lights. Go out with a bang by exploring downtown and taking in the breathtaking scenery.
