The Most Delicious Bakery Is Hiding Inside This Unsuspecting Arizona Gas Station
Gas stations are typically places we try to avoid going inside at all costs, but The Thumb is one glaring exception. One of Arizona’s best bakeries is hiding in this unassuming building, and everyone deserves to taste its scrumptious treats. Get ready to drool all over your keyboard after seeing the deliciousness:
Featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" on the Food Network, The Thumb is no ordinary gas station. Recognized statewide for its award-winning barbecue, most people don't know an amazing bakery also exists in the same building.
Eccentric decor draws visitors in, but the undeniably delicious pastries keep them coming back. However skeptical you might be, one bite is all it takes to make you a believer.
As you can see, The Thumb has a pretty strong opinion about its bakery. This might be a bold statement, but we have yet to find a better dessert shop in Southern Arizona.
...and tarts piled high with light, fluffy meringue, every sweet treat imaginable can be found behind the glass cases of this quirky convenience store.
You know what pairs perfectly with dessert? Wine! The Thumb has dozens of different kinds as well as an exclusive club, which you can read more about here.
You’ll find The Thumb at 9393 East Bell Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Bakery hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.
