The One Small Town In Arizona That’s A Nature Lover’s Paradise
If you love nature, you’ll adore the small Arizona town of Greer. With a population of around 50, it’s one of the very smallest towns in the state. Greer is tucked away in the beautiful White Mountains, at an elevation of over 8,000 feet. It’s completely surrounded by natural beauty, from the towering peaks to the lush greenery of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. With a ski park, horse stable, tons of hiking trails, and a mountain lodge, Greer is the ultimate town in Arizona for nature lovers.

At an elevation of over 8,000 feet and surrounded by the lush greenery of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, the town is everything a nature lover could hope for.
Both day and season passes are available, and activities such as ziplining and mountain biking are offered in the warmer months.
When you hike the West Baldy Trail, the towering aspen trees will make you feel like you're in another state entirely.
It's one of three man-made lakes in the area, and altogether, they're known as the Greer Lakes.
Native American owned and operated, the stables offer everything from 30-minute rides to overnight adventures. Rates start at $20 per person, and sleigh rides are offered in the winter.
Wake up slowly as you sip your morning coffee in a rocking chair, watching elk and deer frolic in the meadow. Some of the rentals even have private trout ponds!
From eye-popping wildflowers to pearly white snow blanketing the ground, Mother Nature never stops showing off in Greer.
