Spooky season is officially here! Don't let it pass you by without visiting Mesa, one of the best Halloween towns in Arizona. This Phoenix suburb has multiple haunted houses, epic neighborhood displays, and even a not-so-scary drive-thru Halloween light show the whole family can enjoy.
If you're looking for some thrills and chills to make your October spooktacular, set your sights on Mesa.
Home to one of Arizona's most terrifying haunted houses, Scarizona Scaregrounds, this Valley city is definitely among the best Halloween towns in the state.
Scarizona Scaregrounds offers two different attractions in one place for the ultimate heart-pounding experience.
In "Mayhem in the Madness," you'll encounter all sorts of evildoers looking for easy prey, and "Startled Darkness" will take away one of your most prominent and reliable senses - sight - and force you to listen intently for someone - or something sneaking up behind you.
There is another haunted house in Mesa, Sanctum of Horror, that's entirely family-owned, and so much work goes into creating the unique themes.
From an abandoned military bunker to an asylum where an escaped patient is on the loose, the scenes are realistic - and terrifying - as can be.
For those in the mood for something a bit less scary, Mesa is full of impressive neighborhood Halloween displays.
One of them is put on by the Keeley family on South Brighton Circle, and features a huge inflatable dragon on the roof, a pirate ship, and more. The lights are even set to music!
Back at Scarizona Scaregrounds, there is also a family-friendly drive-thru light show that all ages can enjoy.
It offers just the right amount of spookiness without being too scary, so kids and adults alike can get into the Halloween spirit.
You'll see ghosts and goblins, pumpkins, spiders, and other classic Halloween scenes, making for an upbeat, fun-filled evening.
Don't forget to bring some candy to munch on during the drive!
