There’s A Themed Hotel In The Middle Of Nowhere In Arizona You’ll Absolutely Love
Route 66 has a steady supply of oddball attractions, eateries, and inns that are unlike anything you would find in other places of the country. Each one not only makes you do a double-take but also entice you to stay in the little roadside towns just a little bit longer. We’ve highlighted a number of these places in the past but there is one motel in the itty bitty town of Seligman that stands out for its unique, themed rooms.
Sitting at the edge of the tiny town of Seligman—and just 40 minutes west of Williams—is the Stagecoach 66 Motel.
It looks like your conventional roadside motel when you first glance at it: an Atomic Age design outlined with neon lights and a simple, one-story layout and cozy rooms. Also on the property is a pizza joint (called Pizza Joint) and a bar to relax in after a long drive.
Murals around the property not only point to the everlasting influence of Route 66 on the town but also hint at what makes this motel unique on the inside. What is that?
The themed rooms! Several of the rooms are decorated in themes that highlight loyal guests, Route 66, mid-century celebrities, and even destinations you one day hope to visit.
Or the Bunkhouse, a stagecoach-inspired room that goes all out with the décor! The room feels a bit like a cleaner, more private version of an Old West saloon.
Other rooms are dedicated to Elvis Presley, John Wayne, the Marines, and even Norway. And if you feel that themed rooms don’t quite suit you, don’t worry! They have some normal rooms for a quiet night.
Stagecoach 66 Motel is located at 21455 West Interstate 40 Business Loop in Seligman. You can find details about booking a room on their website, stagecoach66motel.com.
