If you need to get out of town and experience some of the remote beauty Alaska has to offer, you can rent a yurt in Eagle River and have a relaxing weekend away from it all! Located a short hike out from the Eagle River Nature Center, there are three beautiful yurts you can rent.

The Eagle River Nature Center has three separate yurts and a cabin, all available for rent. You do need to hike in to each yurt, but each yurt is varying distances from the parking lot.

The yurts are open year-round, and just as beautiful in the winter as in the summer.

If you have the maximum amount of people allowed in the yurt, then 1-2 people will need to sleep on the floor. There are tables and chairs or benches that offer plenty of seating.

There's a bear-resistant locker storage for your food. All the yurts have a water source nearby, although it does require purification. Pets are allowed, but no bicycles, ATV's or snow-machines.

The cabin is called Paradise Haven Cabin, and sleeps eight people. This cabin is only 1.5 miles from the visitor center, and has a spacious covered porch that you can sit on to enjoy the view.

For members, they can rent a yurt for $75. The price includes parking for up to four cars in the parking lot of the visitor's center.

Filled with trails and amazing sightseeing, this area is worth a multi-day exploration. Book one of these lovely yurts and spend some restful time in solitude.
