The Ultimate Alaska Natural Wonders Road Trip Is Right Here – And You’ll Want To Do It
Sure, there may not be many roads in Alaska, but there are an endless amount of natural wonders that can easily be seen from the comfort of your vehicle. If you’re up for a road trip that leads you to some of Alaska’s most incredible vistas and unique landmarks, then look no further. Our Natural Wonders Road Trip spans the 310 miles of highway between Eagle River to Valdez. It takes approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes to hit all the sights one way, but if you plan a weekend trip and stay the night in Valdez, you can hit half the stops on the way there and half on the way back.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! Casea Peterson grew up archery hunting, fishing, and camping throughout the Pacific Northwest. Motivated by her love for the outdoors she moved to Alaska to attend school and to spend time exploring the last frontier. If she doesn’t have a pen in hand or her nose in a book, she can be found out on a lake or up in the woods around a fire with friends.
