The Quirkiest Restaurant In Alaska That’s Impossible Not To Love
Double Musky Inn is an eclectic eatery located at Mile .3 of Crow Creek Road in Girdwood, the place known as being home to the best ski town in the world. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – this is one of the most unique restaurants in the entire world. Come for the phenomenal Cajun-style cooking and incredible service, and stay for hours gazing at all the groovy Mardi Gras-style decor. Every square inch of this place is decked out with fun adornments. If we were to choose one restaurant to award the ‘quirkiest’ in the last frontier, this place definitely takes the cake.

The unassuming red building tucked away off of Crow Creek Road in Girdwood holds a fascinating secret that locals and visitors from around the world have raved about time and time again.

The Double Musky Inn offers excellent steak and wild Alaska seafood in an atmosphere that is creative, eclectic and totally different from any other place in the world.

In the summertime you'll love the wild assortment of wildflowers out front that line walkway approaching the front door. In the wintertime, the red building will shine with lights as the bright white snow coats the outside.

If you pull up and notice that the line is pouring out the front door, don't be alarmed. All those people in line are onto something GREAT. The food, the atmosphere and the service is really THAT good. It's always worth the wait, we assure you!

"VELCOM"... not "Welcome!" Why? Well, why not? Because you are about to enter the quirkiest place of your life, with food that will blow your taste buds out of this atmosphere.

Once you finally get in, be prepared for your eyes to be filled with fascinating sights. The corky collage that you'll find behind the bar will keep you busy gazing and reading while you wait to get a table.

While you're waiting for a table, pick out a bottle of wine from the lengthy selection available. The wine cellar is quite impressive, and the skull in the middle gives it a perfectly quirky touch of excellence.

As you head to the bathroom to wash up, prepare to 'LOL' as you find hilarious vintage signs on the way in.

If you decide to eat in the solarium, you'll have gorgeous views of stained glass, Marti Gras beads and masks to keep you busy looking around while you wait for your food.

Literally every single direction that you look will offer something totally quirky to behold.

The dining room, just like the solarium, offers that same amount of eclectic charm in every direction.

Even all over the ceiling. Warning: your neck might hurt from looking around the entire time you're here.

Now to talk about the food... so much yumminess awaits you here! Many come from far and wide to feast on the renowned French Pepper Steak. The gumbo is another excellent option that is mouthwatering and absolutely delicious.

The wild, natural, sustainable Alaska seafood is also top notch here. Dive into succulent king crab, halibut, salmon, scallops and so much more.

If you leave without trying one of the decadent desserts, we know that you will be kicking yourself later. Do yourself a favor and at least take something to go. This will be the best midnight snack of your life, we guarantee it!

Let's be honest... any restaurant that showcases a killer Darth Vader mask deserves to win the 'most quirky' award, hands down.
