Here Are Our Favorite 5 Places To Stay When Visiting Denali National Park In Alaska
Everyone wants to travel to Denali National Park in the summertime. You’ll want to see the incredible wildlife, and our amazing Denali Mountain! This park is filled with some of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the United States. There are lots of amazing places to stay, and we’ve put together our favorite lodging right outside Denali National Park!
1. Denali Grizzly Bear Resort
Denali Grizzly Bear Resort is fun lodging just six miles south of Denali National Park Visitor's Center. With hotel or cabin rental options at this resort, you'll find exactly what you're looking for! The cozy cabin options vary from small, budget, Dry Cabins starting at $88.00, to Premier Cabins that sleep six, and have a full kitchen and bathroom! Those cabins start at $359.00 a night. You can find this fun resort at 231.1 George Parks Highway.
2. Denali Backcountry Lodge
Denali National Park is absolutely wondrous, and being able to stay right off the infamous Denali Park Road is an incredible experience! Wake up each morning in the largest designated wilderness in Alaska. You get to experience Denali National Park in true immersion style, without sacrificing any creature comforts. You can find their lovely lodge at this Address: Mile 92 Denali National Park Road, Denali National Park and Preserve, AK 99755. But remember, you can't drive to it! They will come pick you up on their own personal bus!
3. Tonglen Lake Lodge
Located on the stunning Tonglen Lake, you can stay in your own private luxury cabin just seven miles south of Denali National Park. Not only will you stay in a gorgeous cabin with hand carved log furniture, but you can relax on your king bed next to a cast iron hearth and snuggle in and get cozy. Make sure to hit up their Cafe for breakfast options like quiche, granola, or baked oats!
4. Denali Hostel & Cabins
Denali Hostel & Cabins is a fun little place nestled next to Carlo Creek. You can have your choice of a private cabin or one of the dormitory rooms. There's something for every budget! Watch the moose go by in the forest outside of your funky cabins, which have names like "The Iceworm", and "The Coffeegrinder." Only a 15 minute drive from the Denali National Park entrance, this is a great little place to stay for the adventurer!
5. Carlo Creek Cabins
Carlo Creek Lodge has been around since 1959, or 60 awesome years of hosting travelers to Denali National Park! There are plenty of cute handcrafted little cabins on a gorgeous 11 acres of forested land. This cool place takes you back to what the area used to be like, with no television! You are very close to amenities however, as there are three delicious restaurants just across the street. A perfect blend of privacy and fun!
