Sure, we love exploring the great outdoors as much as the next guy. But this brush with wildlife (otherwise known as a “near death experience”) is almost too close for comfort. Once you get past the “OMG no freaking way” factor, it’s actually one of the most incredible experiences that we have ever seen caught on camera. Kudos to Discovery for being in the exact right place at the exact right time so that we could all later enjoy this phenomenal footage.

As the kayakers paddled around the fjords and bays covered with marine wildlife, they had no idea that they were about to be in for the most life-changing moment of their lives. They were supposed to stay at least 100 feet away from the bubble-feeding humpback whales, but it’s apparent that the whales didn’t exactly get that memo. As they were sandwiched in-between two different pods of whales, the breaching began to happen and it just didn’t stop. Epic and utterly heart pounding. We hope you enjoy this footage (from the comfort of your cozy couch) as much as we did!
