Fairbanks Is A Fascinating Spot in Alaska That’s Straight Out Of A Fairy Tale
OK, so basically most places in Alaska do, in fact, look like a winter wonderland fairy tale. But by far, one of the most magical places in Alaska is Fairbanks.
Sure, it’s one of the more populated places in Alaska (which honestly means it’s about the size of a normal mainland U.S. town), but Fairbanks sits at 65 degrees north latitude. This means it’s the best spot in the United States to see the Northern Lights or to experience the midnight sun.
Whether it’s summertime and the sun never sets on green fields and stunning mountains, or it’s the winter with the colorful Northern Lights dancing in the sky over snowy forests, Fairbanks is a true “Frozen”-style fairytale area.

Fairbanks, Alaska is one of the most stunning places in the country, let alone the state, thanks to the abundance of nature around it.
And of course, the biggest attraction: the Northern Lights! This is the best place in the U.S. to see the aurora borealis. Just come between August and April.
For 70 straight days, the sun never sets, which is both eerie and beautiful. It also gives you way more time to enjoy hiking around such a beautiful town.
