Bankhead National Forest, which is best known as the Bankhead National Forest. Covering more than 181,000 acres, this national forest is a hiker's dream. It has more than 90 miles of trails and several waterfalls, including Sougahoagdee Falls, Caney Creek Falls, and more. Many of the waterfalls in the Bankhead National Forest are located within the Sipsey Wilderness area, which is why this particular section of the national forest is known as the "Land of 1,000 Waterfalls." The Bankhead National Forest belongs on everyone's hiking bucket list.
