While some of these trails are lengthy and can take days to complete, others are short and can be completed in a single afternoon. Several of these trails offer lots of scenery, including beautiful waterfalls. One waterfall in particular is Coal Mine Branch Falls. The trail to Coal Mine Branch Falls is located within the Bushy Creek area of North Alabama's William B. Bankhead National Forest. It's an easy trail with a length of 1.5 miles round trip.

Prior to reaching this secluded and underrated waterfall, you'll encounter stream crossings, towering trees, and so much. This waterfall spot truly is an outdoorsman's paradise.
When you plan to visit, remember that Coal Mine Branch Falls usually dries up in the summer, so you'll want to visit during the cooler months or following a heavy rainfall. The trail will take you to the top of the waterfall. While making your way down, be careful. It's rather steep and can sometimes be quite slippery.
Although the trail is short and sweet, the waterfall at the end makes the hike well worth it. It's stunning, especially with its pool of turquoise water below.
