These small rural towns are delightful in their own ways and have so much to offer, including locally owned shops, heavenly restaurants, and amazing views. Grace, ID 83241, USA
Grace is a small rural town in southern Idaho that many Idahoans don’t even know exists. It is home to approximately 1,000 residents and is near many hidden gems like the Niter Ice Cave and Black Canyon. After a visit to Grace, you'll see why this is one small town that is easy to love.
Dubois, ID 83423, USA
Dubois is located in Clark County and has a population of just over 500. It was named after a prominent politician who became the state’s first U.S. Senator. While this town is certainly small, it still has much to offer and is near attractions like Spencer Opal Mine and Lidy Hot Springs.

Challis, ID 83226, USA
Challis was established in the 1870s and became home to a large number of sheepherders. In fact, in the early 1900s, there were more sheep in the area than people in the entire Gem State. Challis has peak Western vibes that you’ll feel as you drive around this delightful rural town.

Mackay is one small town that often gets overlooked due to its proximity to towns like Stanley and Salmon. This town sits at the base of Mt. Borah, the highest mountain peak in Idaho. This was once a mining town, and you’ll still see much of its history throughout the town today.
