Idaho is full of hidden gems when it comes to small towns with lots of charm. Lush forests and beautiful lakes and rivers make many Idaho towns abundantly attractive. The town featured here is uniquely charming, making it a must-see!
St. Maries is a town located in northern Idaho, just 2.5 hours away from the Canadian border.
Although it is a peaceful town, there’s still lots to do and see in St. Maries.
The town is situated along the St. Joe River, which offers 120 miles worth of whitewater rafting (or regular floating if that’s what you prefer!).
St. Maries is home to one of the most popular bike trails in the western United States, the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. Bicyclists travel from all over to bike this trail that spans nearly the entire Idaho panhandle.
