When a case goes cold it’s especially haunting to remember that there are actual people out there either waiting for their stories to be told or desperately trying to hide a secret from the world. These cases that involve Arkansas have yet to be solved and victims have yet to see justice.
In 1987, Don Henry and his friend Kevin Ives were found dead in Bryant, Arkansas on the railroad tracks near their homes. The train engineer noticed them but was unable to stop in time to prevent running over them; he later rationalized that due to the noise of the oncoming train, the boys had to have been dead and positioned on the tracks before he arrived. The local police quickly rushed to the conclusion, claiming the boys had died from a drug overdose on the tracks. No conclusive proof of their cause of death has ever been established.
After the mysterious deaths of Kevin Ives and his friend Don Henry in Bryant, theories were rampant as to how these two young men died. There are rumors of an unidentified figure in military fatigues loitering in the area before the train ran over Kevin and Don. However, a local witness claims that he saw two police officers beating two boys senseless in a store parking lot before tossing them into a truck and driving away. It's unknown whether or not they were Kevin and Don.

Hailing from Forrest City, Arkansas, Larry Porter Chism is wanted by the United States Marshals for charges related to his escape from the Lonoke County Jail in the December of 1978. He was serving a 40 year state sentence for armed robbery and narcotics violations and an additional 30 year federal sentence for kidnapping and airplane hijacking. During a previous escape, Chism shot and seriously wounded a correctional officer.

In June of 2000, Amanda Tusing was found dead in the Big Bay Ditch in Craighead County, Arkansas, 14 miles from where her car was discovered three days earlier. Police believe she was abducted before she was tossed in the ditch. Police said they've interviewed hundreds of people, but no useful leads have turned up.
On June 9, 1995, Morgan Nick and her mother, Colleen Nick, went to a Little League baseball game in their town of Alma, Arkansas. At around 10:30 p.m., Morgan asked her mother if she could catch lightning bugs with her friends. At first, her mother was uncertain, but eventually let her go. She was last seen at 10:45 p.m. by her friends, emptying sand out of her shoes at her mother's car. Her friends said that there was a "creepy" man talking to Morgan around the last time she was seen. Since her disappearance, Colleen Nick has founded the Morgan Nick Foundation, which helps parents cope with the disappearances of children.
These cases are still remembered by many Arkansans who pray for justice. Until then, natives of the Natural State will remain haunted by these unsolved mysteries.
