You don’t need to go to Mexico to get some truly delightful Mexican cuisine. Just drive to De Queen in Sevier County, and you’ll find some of the best Mexican food in Arkansas on almost every corner. This small historic town, known for fishing, hunting, and hiking, has the most authentic Mexican cuisine in the Ozarks. So, if you’re a fan of yummy tacos and burritos, you must visit this town and try the cuisine.
De Queen is a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife photographers, so it attracts visitors from all over the state.
Along with its beauty, this small town is rich with diverse culture, and it's known for having authentic Mexican food.
And with food that is both visually stimulating and tasty, this family-owned eatery keeps the patrons coming back for more. You’ll enjoy the Chimichanga Loco, which is a fried tortilla stuffed with meat and veggies and smothered with cheese.

Another favorite Mexican restaurant is Tortas Chomis. And this unassuming eatery serves the best Mexican sandwiches (tortas) in town.

The restaurants aren’t the only eateries in town serving delicious Mexican cuisine. De Queen has two of the best Mexican food trucks in the Ozarks. The first is Taqueria El Paisano, where above all, the food is served fast and with a smile.
Patrons love that the burritos are overflowing with yummy Mexican flavored goodness. You can also choose from tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, and more.
The other food truck is Lonchera Miscelanea J.B. It's owned by a family who has been doing business in De Queen since 2005. And this mobile kitchen has taken “Mexican street food back to the streets.”
And with delicious favorites like pork tacos, taco pizzas, gorditas, and more, this joint is a staple for Mexican comfort food. Not only is the food delicious, but it is also very affordable.
