You Can Drink Wine With Alpacas At This Wisconsin Ranch

No matter how many wine tastings you’ve been to, you’ve probably never been to one like Wine with the Alpacas at LondonDairy Alpaca Ranch. As the name suggests, the unique event offers the fun of a wine tasting with an adorable addition – alpacas! Wine with the Alpacas is only held twice a year and tickets go fast, so you’ll definitely want to mark your calendar for this event. Read on for all the details.

Located in Two Rivers, LondonDairy Alpaca Ranch opened back in 1995, making it one of Wisconsin’s first alpaca ranches.

Home to about 50 alpacas, the ranch features a store stocked with items made from alpaca fiber.

The ranch also offers tours and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including Wine with the Alpacas.

In 2020, Wine with the Alpacas will be held once in the summer and once in the fall. The summer event is scheduled for July 18th, and the fall event is set to take place on October 3rd.

During the 2.5-hour event, you can sample a variety of South American wines, which are grown and processed where the majestic alpaca originates from.

But there’s more to the event than wine.

You’ll also get to tantalize your taste buds with a variety of cheeses and unique food pairings.

Interacting with alpacas is also part of the fun.

You can view the alpacas from a distance, or you can opt to get up close and personal – and even pose for some pictures with the cuddly creatures.

Wine with the Alpacas is held rain or shine, but either way, the event will include live music by an acoustic guitarist, plenty of seating, and...

…a silent auction, where you can bid on baskets provided by local non-profit organizations.

Remember, Wine with the Alpacas, which is designed for those 21 and over, will be held two times in 2020. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, July 18^{th, and the}second for Saturday, October 3^rd. Tickets for Wine with the Alpacas can be purchased in advance for $25. Tickets purchased five days prior to the event are $30 and those bought at the gate are $35. Each ticket purchase includes entry to the event and a complimentary wine glass.
