With the Gulf of Mexico acting as the state’s southern border, the options for beachfront dining in Mississippi are plentiful. However, BBQ joints with waterfront views are less common, but they do exist – and Slap Ya Momma’s is one of them. Take a look:

Slap Ya Momma’s is located on the beachfront in Biloxi. It’s only been at its current location since 2018 but has been in the business of BBQ for much longer.

Though it’s not the only eatery on the beach in Biloxi, it is one of the only ones that serves BBQ.

As you probably already guessed from the name, it’s a laidback type of place – something you’ll definitely figure out when you set foot inside and see the "funky, colorful" interior.

But the vibrant colors don’t end in the dining room. There’s a roomy, just-as-colorful deck with plenty of seating…

…and great views of the nearby Gulf of Mexico.

The lively décor might be the first thing you notice about Slap Ya Momma’s, but once you try the mouthwatering BBQ, you’ll forget all about the eye-catching surroundings.

Look over the menu, and you’ll find all the classics, like ribs and pulled pork. Burgers, signature creations, and local favorites, like fried pickles, are also plentiful.

There’s even a full-service bar, serving everything from beer to specialty drinks.
