World Heritage Sites are designated landmarks, both natural and man-made, that are protected by the World Heritage Convention. These areas are preserved for the enjoyment and educations of visitors from around the globe. Here in the U.S., we are lucky to have 23 of them, which range from cultural to natural. One such natural area, which is also a designated National Park, is the Everglades in Florida.
