Small towns often get a bad rep for being a little creepy, but sometimes it’s for good reason. This town’s history is dark and it rings throughout it’s present. Located just under two hours from Milwaukee, you’ll find the tiny town of Plainfield is filled with some insane paranormal activity.

This small town has an incredibly dark past.
Most notably is that Plainfield is home to the infamous murder, Ed Gein, also known as the "Butcher of Plainfield."

When Gein was apprehended in 1957 under suspicions of involvement with the disappearance of Bernice Worden, investigators discovered far more than expected: mutilated human body parts seemed to be the medium-of-choice for Gein's horrifying creations.
Plainfield is Gein's final resting place.

Unfortunately, his body now lays in the same cemetery where Gein would dig up and desecrated the bodies of women he believed to resemble his mother.
