1. Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch
The Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is just a mile from the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Guests stay in the lodge, in one of four cabins, or can “camp” in the Cowboy Tent or one of two tipis.
The Cowboy Tent sleeps 1-4 people and includes a queen-size bed and bunk beds. Restroom and showers are adjacent to the tent.
The small tipi includes a queen-size bed and a solar shower; the larger tipi has a California king-size bed and a trundle.
2. Conestoga Ranch, Bear Lake
You’ll find Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, next to Bear Lake. The ranch offers several styles of tents and Conestoga wagons. The Grand Family Tent, pictured here, offers a king-size bed, plus twin beds and bunk beds to accommodate up to 8 people.
Tents include a bathroom with shower and electricity.
If you'd rather sleep like a pioneer, stay in a Conestoga wagon.
The Couple's Wagon includes a king-size bed; the Family Wagon has a king-size bed and a set of bunk beds.
3. Moab Under Canvas, Moab
Moab Under Canvas is located near both Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. It offers several types of safari tents. This is the “Suite” which has a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom (with flushing toilet!) right inside.
Get an extra tipi next door to sleep the kids - up to four of them!
Other options include a "Deluxe" tent and a Safari tent with four twin beds.
4. Summit Mountain Lodge and Resort, Brian Head
In addition to the lodge and cabins, Summit Mountain Lodge and Resort offers 13 luxury yurts.
This is one of the King Yurts, which includes a private bath.
5. Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort
For some glamorous camping near Zion National Park, stay at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, which offers “glamping tents.” The tents include furniture, hot showers in the nearby shower house and even wi-fi.
If you're willing to "rough it" a bit more, stay in one of the Western Wagons.
Each wagon has a queen-size bed and two twins.
