What Someone Spotted In Texas Will Give You Nightmares Forever

Everything’s bigger in Texas, and apparently that includes our centipedes as well. A giant redheaded centipede that looks like something out of Jurassic Park was found crawling on a broom at Garner State Park in Uvalde County earlier this week.

Texas Parks and Wildlife posted the picture to Twitter, stating that the centipede was found near park headquarters and then released unharmed back into the park.

They can grow up to eight inches long, and are “capable of piercing the skin and injecting a painful toxin,” according to an article posted on TPWD’s website by Ben Hutchins.

So, I think it’s safe to say that if you want to enjoy nature, don’t walk around barefoot and don’t go near brooms with giant centipedes on them!

Here’s a nice picture of our creepy crawly friend just relaxing at the park:

Have you ever seen any redheaded centipedes, and if so, where did you spot it?
