Nobody wants to believe that evil walks among us, terrorizing and destroying innocent lives. However, these people have done just that, and they were born right here in Texas (possibly in your hometown). Here are 7 cities where some of the most vile people in the history of crime were born.
Carl Eugene Watts, nicknamed "The Sunday Morning Slasher" was born here. He claimed to have murdered over 80 people in his lifetime.
2. El Paso
It's no surprise that this border city is a hub for criminal activity. Richard Ramirez, a serial killer convicted of 13 counts of murder in 1989, was born here. He broke into the homes of Los Angeles and San Francisco residents, killing them with various weapons ranging from a tire iron to guns. He died of cancer on death row.
Andrea Yates, arguably one of Texas's most famous killers, was born in Hallsville. She drowned her five children in the bathtub in 2001 and was found not guilty by reason of insanity. She currently resides in a low security mental hospital in Kerrville.
Charles Albright, also known as the Eyeball Killer, was born in Amarillo. He surgically removed the eyeballs of his victims after shooting them to death. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole and is currently incarcerated at the Montford Unit in Lubbock.
5. San Antonio
Joe Ball, believed to have killed as many as 20 women in the 1930s, was born in San Antonio.
One of the most infamous people of our nation's history, the assassin of President John F. Kennedy, was born in Dallas.
The most famous partner-in-crime pair, Bonnie and Clyde, were born in Rowena and Ellis County, respectively. They committed a slew of bank robbers and murders back in the day.
