8. Edwin Warner Park - Harpeth Woods Trail
Located at the heart of Nashville, it's a three mile hike that will get you breathing heavy enough to warrant your workout quota for the day. Plus, the views? Magic.
7. Hamilton Creek Park - Pinnacle Trail
We recommend Pinnacle Trail, which is a bit under seven miles. Just a quick jaunt from city center and you'll be amongst a gorgeous hive of trees and wildlife.
6. Harpeth River State park - Narrows of the Harpeth
Harpeth River State Park comes up twice on this list, mainly because it's a phenomenal state park with a ton of opportunities for your hiker at heart. You can take their two mile hike and be back before you know it!
5. Percy Warner Park - Mossy Ridge Trail
Known as "The Red Trail" for the local foliage, you're looking at a medium difficulty hike that clocks in at just under five miles. Great for teenagers and beginners, or those looking for less of a troublesome stroll.
4. Long Hunter State Park - Volunteer Trail
This is a great trail for the little ones in your life. Pack up the kids and a couple of sandwiches, and this easy hike will get all the ants out of their pants and settle them down for a nap before you know it. You're welcome.
3. Harpeth River State Park - Hidden Lake Trail
The history of this trail is fantastic, and the hike is of medium difficulty. It comes highly recommended by the locals, providing the perfect Saturday afternoon activity.
2. Beaman Park Nature Center - Highland Trail
We honestly can't believe this is still in Nashville. Beaman Park is like an oasis of wooded perfection, and though the hike can get a bit strenuous, the beauty makes up for it.
1. Radnor Lake - Lake Trail
This easy lake path is well lit and quick for those of you only looking for a quick jaunt in the great outdoors. Located in Brentwood, parking is free and the trail is fabulous. Highly recommended!
