There have been some movers and shakers since we last ran this list. The richest town in Rhode Island has kept its top spot, but there are some new towns on the list.
1. East Greenwich
East Greenwich comes in first with a median household income of $133,373. It's a charming town with around 15,000 residents.
2. Barrington
In second place is Barrington, with a median household income of $130,455. The Barrington Town Hall looks like it popped right out of a fairy tale.
3. West Greenwich
The home of some epic sand dunes that are used as sledding hills is West Greenwich sitting in 3rd at $126,402.
4. Jamestown
Jamestown is fourth with a median income of $120,129. This quaint small town is filled with historic lighthouses and windmills that are certainly worth a visit.
5. Cumberland
Sitting at a solid 5th place is Cumberland with a median income of $104,613. It is actually home to the oldest Veterans memorial in the country.
6. Scituate
Scituate joins the list at number 6, with a median family income of $104,388. Its Ponaganset Falls is the first stop on our Rhode Island waterfall road trip.
7. Portsmouth
The birthplace of American democracy, Portsmouth, sits in seventh place with $104,073.
8. North Kingstown
North Kingstown is 8th at $104,026, and it is one of the best places to hunt down antiques.
9. South Kingstown
In 9th place is South Kingstown, with a median household income of $102,242, and it contains a magical fairytale road.
10. Richmond
Rounding out our list is Richmond with a very respectable median income of $100,493. It is one of the most peaceful places in the state.
