Sometimes (especially in afternoon traffic) it feels like time is standing still. It takes forever to get across town, and it feels like hours before we reach our destination. Kansas City (and its surrounding suburbs) is a huge metropolitan area with around 2 million people living in it. One of the best ways to capture the action is through timelapse, where we see so many fly by at 45-90x normal speed. Have you ever seen timelapse footage of our city before?

In 2011 and 2012, YouTuber Wesley Richardson captured amazing footage of our busy city, where you can view it from time’s perspective instead of your own. This artist’s view of the city comes from his camera, where he records timelapse footage detailing some of Kansas City’s most popular scenes and events. You’ll just have to watch them to see what I’m talking about. Enjoy!
