1. Fireworks over the Mississippi River, Natchez

Natchez’s Independence Day celebration, which is one of the most anticipated fireworks displays in the state, is scheduled for July 4th at 9:00 pm. Free to attend, the spectacular show can best be seen from the city’s famous bluff, so bring along a chair or blanket and watch as countless fireworks illuminate the sky over the Mighty Mississippi.

2. Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza, Vicksburg

Teeming with history, Vicksburg is the perfect place to celebrate the 4th of July. The city’s annual fireworks show over the Mississippi River will take place on July 4th at 9:00 pm, but the Independence Day celebration actually begins at 7:00 pm with live musical performances. Grab a chair and head to Washington Street in downtown Vicksburg to take part in all the patriotic fun.

3. Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show, Biloxi

One of the biggest fireworks displays in the entire Southeast, the city of Biloxi’s annual celebration has grown incredibly over the years. This year, the nearly 20-minute-long fireworks show will take place on July 4th at 9:00 pm. The fireworks are set off from a barge near Deer Island, which means they’re visible from just about anywhere on the beach; however, the best views can be found between the Biloxi Lighthouse and Biloxi Bay Bridge.

4. Fireworks on the Water, Columbus

Fun for the entire family, Columbus’ annual celebration includes a variety of food vendors, fun children’s activities, and live entertainment. As if it couldn’t get any better, the fun-filled event is concluded with an outstanding fireworks display. The Independence Day fun will take place at the Columbus Lock and Dam on July 1st, from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

5. Independence Celebration at The REZ, Ridgeland

Held at the Ross Barnett Reservoir, this annual celebration includes a patriotic boat parade and majestic waterfront fireworks show. The parade and fireworks display can be viewed from either Lakeshore Park or Old Trace Park. This year, the fun is scheduled for July 1st, from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Don’t forget to bring along a blanket, towel, or chair to sit on while you watch the 4th of July festivities.
