What are the best waterparks in Minnesota?

With so many to choose from, it's hard to say exactly what are the best waterparks in Minnesota, but we can tell you about a few of our favorites. You definitely can't go wrong with Bunker Beach, which is located in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities metro. It has everything you would want in an outdoor water park, from slides and tubes, to a lazy river and a wave pool. It is, in fact, one of the largest outdoor waterparks in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

For a waterpark experience that is big on fun but small on crowds, we like like River Springs Water Park in Owatonna. It's a seasonal outdoor waterpark with all the amenities you'd expect (and hope for!), but given that it's more than an hour from any of the state's major cities, it doesn't see nearly as many visitors as some of the other, better-known water parks in Minnesota do.

Finally, if you'd like a water park experience that you don't have to share with children, pack your trunks and head for the adults-only section of The Lagoon at Treasure Island Resort and Casino. Relax in the hot tub or enjoy a drink at the swim-up Barefoot Bar - all without children. Most of The Lagoon is open to all ages, so you could bring the kids if you really want to.
