Who doesn’t love a good fireworks display? Summer just doesn’t feel complete without taking in the spectacular lights that boom across the sky. But as the holiday draws near, you may be asking yourself, “Where can I see fireworks near me this year?” In 2015 and 2016, we brought you some of our favorite displays. This year, we’re back at it again. Check below to see if there are any fireworks displays in your area.

1. Red, White, and Boom - Minneapolis

As the most populous city on this list, we'd be remiss if we left out Minneapolis. Their huge Red, White, and Boom event takes over downtown and turns it into a dazzling display of sound and color. This year's event takes place on July 4 at the Minneapolis Downtown Riverfront. As always, there are plenty of activities to keep busy before the main event starts at 10:00 p.m.
2. Fourth Fest - Duluth

As what claims to be the largest fireworks display in the Upper Midwest, Duluth's Fourth Fest is not messing around. Though the festivities take place at Bayfront Festival Park, Duluth's hilly landscape means there's not a bad seat in the house. Still, get there early - this display is super popular. The park opens at 4:00 p.m., and the fireworks start at 10:10 p.m.

This year, St. Cloud's 70th annual fireworks display will light up the city in one of the biggest displays in central Minnesota. There are plenty of nice viewing areas around the city, but the best spots are at Hester and Wilson Parks, which straddle either side of the Mississippi River. Lots of food and festivities are available throughout the day, with the fireworks display - synchronized to music! - starting at 10:00 p.m. on July 4.
4. July 4th Concert and Fireworks Display - Rochester

If you're looking for a great display in southern Minnesota, Rochester should top your list. This event is full of fun, including live music leading up to the display. It will be held on July 4 at Silver Lake Park, with music starting at 8:30.
5. 4th of July Fireworks - Stillwater

Each July 4 in Stillwater, a fantastic fireworks lights the night. If you want to make a day of it, there is lots to do in town, including shopping, sampling new restaurants, and enjoying the outdoors. When it comes time to settle in for the show, Pioneer Park is a great spot. Outdoor dining areas are also ideal for viewing the fireworks over the river. Whatever you do, make sure you're seated by 10:00 p.m. - that's when the fireworks begin!
