Starting with an old standby classic, Lea's Lunchroom will take you back into the past and feed you pies like your momma made 'em. Definitely worth the trip.

End your first day at Dorcheat's seafood. The down home atmosphere and friendly patrons will make you as happy as the food will. This restaurant was recently damaged by the flooding in this area, so let's all pray that they are able to get back on their feet soon!
Day 2: Early lunch- Mohawk Seafood Tavern, 704 Louisville Ave., Monroe, LA
Start your next day driving east toward Monroe and stop at this classic eatery. Open for decades, Mohawk Tavern sets the standard for oysters on the half shell in these parts.
