Located just west of the Denver city line lies the VERY small town of Lakeside, which boasts not only a few large attractions, but also a population of 8.

Named for the surrounding Lake Rhoda, Lakeside was founded in 1906 by Denver brewer Adolph Zang, who was planning to open an amusement park and incorporated the town as a way to avoid Denver's strict liquor laws.

As per the 1910 Census, Lakeside originally housed just over 100 residents, but continued to dwindle overtime, despite housing both its namesake park and Lakeside Mall.
