What are the best little known ski areas in Wyoming?

While Targhee, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and Snow King are the busiest ski resorts in Wyoming, you can still hit the slopes without the crowds if you know where to look. White Pine Ski area is one of the best hidden gems in the state, and it’s right in Pinedale. In Cody, Sleeping Giant is one of the best places to hang out and enjoy the slopes. If you love to ski and think the Wyoming ski season isn’t long enough plan a visit to the Beartooth Basin Summer Ski Area, which is open from late May through early July.

What are the best outdoor activities in winter in Wyoming?

Beyond skiing, Wyoming is perfect for snowmobiling. The hills around Pinedale in the Wind River Range make for perfect tracks, and the Snowy Range region has hundreds of miles of trails to explore.

Where can I go snow tubing in Wyoming?

Almost all of Wyoming’s ski areas offer tubing, but the best tubing in the state has got to be at Grand Targhee. You’ll find a huge sled hill and the lines aren’t nearly as bad as they are at Jackson’s more popular, and more crowded, ski areas.
