This Wyoming Bakery Was Named The Best In The State
Before supermarkets took over filling the consumer’s every need, charming little specialty shops were where people used to go to get certain items such as baked goods. Brimming with personality and spilling mouthwatering aromas into the street, the delightful corner bakery also offered a comfortable place to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee with a fresh-from-the-oven sweet treat.
Though not too many of those old-school bakeries are left these days, there is one in Wyoming that fits the profile perfectly. Housed in a renovated home and filled with as much inviting atmosphere as it is delectable pastries, cakes, and cookies, it’s not surprising that Persephone in Jackson was named a little local bakery worth traveling for.
It's not hard to find Persephone when you're in Jackson. It's just off the town square at 145 East Broadway.
Persephone is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 7 a.m. top 5 p.m. on Sundays.
An inviting place, the delicious fragrances wafting through the door may lure you in, but when you find that the crave-worthy baked goods taste as yummy as they smell, you'll be hooked.
The master bakers at Persephone put out all the different types of treats you'd expect including pies, cakes, pastries, breads, cookies, tarts, and more.
The croissants are probably the single most recommended pastry in the place. Persephone specializes in plain, chocolate, and almond croissants, and you'll probably want to try them all. Every one of them is heaven with a cup of coffee.
