This Wyoming School District Is The Best In The State
Wyoming is a great place to grow up. The wide open spaces give kids ample room to play and explore. Wherever you live, there’s a state or national park nearby and at least one ski resort where youngsters can master skiing, the state sport after rodeo.
What’s more, the schools in the Cowboy State are among the top in the country. If you’re looking for the best school district to settle down in, you can’t do better than Sheridan County School District #2. It was just named the best in all of Wyoming.

The Sheridan School District also has a collaborative school - a high school alternative for students who learn better in non-traditional educational environments. Offering this option is just one reason why District #2 is at the top of the list.

Sheridan School District #2 students blow kids from other states away, testing out with a 67 percent proficiency in math, as compared to the national average of just over 32 percent. They more than double the national average in reading, as well, with a proficiency of 70 percent while the rest of the country is averaging 34.8 percent.

The Sheridan Broncs football team was 12 and 0 this year, handily taking the state 4A title for the third year in a row, making 26 total state titles in all. The basketball team has their eye on a championship, too, with 25 wins so far and no losses.
