The One Place In Wyoming That Must Be Seen To Be Believed

Mammoth Hot Springs has been described as a cave that looks like “it has been turned inside out.” It’s a feature of Yellowstone National Park that has some of the most intriguing and unusual rock formations in the country. This is an active area which means the rock formations are constantly growing and changing.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Mammoth Hot Springs is south of the North Entrance to Yellowstone. The area is open year round and is accessible by car and boardwalks that wind through the Upper and Lower Terraces.
