7 Little-Known Trails In Wyoming Where It’s Easy To Find Solitude
Wyoming hikers are guilty of returning to the same places over and over again. Who could blame them? After all, when you find a beautiful trail out here, it’s easy to fall in love. If you’re looking for a chance of pace, check out any of these little-known remote trails in Wyoming where you’ll hardly see another soul.

Bighorn National Recreation Area straddles the border of Montana and Wyoming. It's easily accessible from the Cowboy State, and here you'll find plenty of beautiful trails and very few people. Check out the half-mile Upper Layout Creek Trail for stunning views and beautiful wildflowers.

Head in to the Medicine Bow Mountains and catch the view along the Lakes Trail. This 6.5 mile out-and-back trail takes you on a journey to Medicine Bow Peak.

Get to know Shoshone National Forest when you hike a five mile loop to Jade Lake. You likely won't see another soul!

Black Mountain Lookout Trail in Bighorn National Forest is a 3.4 mile out and back hike that shows off incredible birds-eye views of the valley below. This is a moderate trail, but the effort is so worth it.

To get to Long Lake, you'll travel nearly 5 miles out and back in Bridger-Teton National Forest. Unlike many of the trails in this popular forest, the Long Lake Trail is tucked away and hidden from the world.

Coal Creek Meadows is a 4.7 mile trail in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness that showcases Wyoming wildlife and wildflowers! If the water is high, you may encounter some stream crossings. Be prepared for some elevation gain, too!

If you're looking for Teton views without the crowds of the park, head into the Gros Ventre Wilderness and explore Sheep Mountain. The 10 mile out-and-back trail isn't for beginners, but the views along the way are worth sweating it out and reaching the summit.
