This Tiny Wyoming Town Is The Grandest Winter Wonderland You’ll Ever Visit
Wyoming is a great spot to visit if you love snow and snowy activities! One town in particular has earned a reputation as being our own winter wonderland, and if you love the idea of skiing, ice fishing, mushing and sledding, you’ve got to plan a visit to Pinedale, Wyoming.
Pinedale, Wyoming is a beautiful little town tucked into the foothills of the Wind River Range, and it truly is a winter lover's paradise.
Pinedale is world famous for its marked and unmarked snowmobile trails. In fact, all of the major sled manufacturers test them on these hills.
You don't have to head to the Tetons to enjoy skiing - Pinedale is home to the White Pine Ski Area. No crowds, no lines, and more than 25 trails down the mountain means that skiers and snowboarders will have a blast!
Fremont Lake is Wyoming's second largest, and in the wintertime, it is the perfect place to play on your skates.
If fishing is more your style, grab a parka and a chair and give ice fishing a shot!
The whole region is home to fun winter activities. Local dog sled outfitters are more than happy to take you mushing.
You can find charming and rustic accomodations right next to the ski area, or in town, at a family owned hotel or motel.
If you truly want a special stay, make a reservation at the Chambers House. It's the longest running bed and breakfast in Wyoming.
