These Historic Barns In Wyoming Have The Best Views Of The Grand Tetons
During the 1890s, Mormon settlers began expanding communities beyond the borders of Salt Lake City, Utah into Idaho and Wyoming to better support their growing population. One of these parties came to establish the town of Gros Ventre, located east of Blacktail Butte. This cluster of homesteads, now known as “Mormon Row,” lies in an area with some of the best views of the Grand Tetons in the entire state.

This one, the T.A. Moulton Barn, is a favorite stop for photographers, due to the immaculate view of the Tetons rising up in the distance.

If you are interested in visiting the T.A. Moulton Barn and the other picturesque homesteads of Mormon Row, head north of Jackson Hole on Highway 191. Take a right turn onto Gros Ventre Road, which will lead you along the lovely Gros Ventre River, then a left turn onto Antelope Flats Road. There is a small parking lot and short trail leading you through the area. The drive takes just under 30 minutes, and the unique views of this historic spot are definitely worth the trip!
