The most famous dinos who live here include "The Thermopolis Specimen", the only Archaeopteryx outside of Europe, a Supersaurus named "Jimbo" who is one of the largest dinosaurs every mounted, and "Stan", a 35-foot T-Rex.

Where do all of these dinosaurs come from? Well, most come from dig sites near Thermopolis! Now, thanks to the WDC's "Dig for a Day" program, you can visit the dig sites and try your luck and finding some prehistoric treasures.

Staff and visitors have removed over 10,000 bones from these excavation sites, including fossils from long-necked sauropods like diplodocus and apatosaur. One of the sites was hunting ground for Allosaurus!
