Wyoming is such a large state, and so sparsely populated, that it’s easy to understand how so much of our land can be overlooked by locals and visitors. One spot, in the middle of nowhere, was once so famous for its otherworldly appearances that it was an alien planet in “Starship Troopers.” Today, this fascinated natural wonder is largely ignored by Wyomingites, and many have completely forgotten about its existence.

Somewhere along Highway 26, between Shoshoni and Casper, you'll begin to see it - a ravaged landscape, canyons, caves, buttes, and cliffs.
