The Boldest And Biggest Meteor Shower In Wyoming This Year Will Be On Display In December
Every year we look forward to the various celestial events taking place in the skies. And this year, we couldn’t be more thrilled for the biggest meteor shower in Wyoming arriving in December. Undoubtedly, the lack of light pollution here means we frequently see brighter, bolder, and more magnificent skies than other states. But, this one will be extra-special. The 2022 Geminid meteor shower is expected to be the biggest and boldest of the year, just in time to send us into 2023!
You'll undoubtedly want to be in the right place for celestial viewing from Wednesday, December 14, 2022, through Thursday, December 15, 2022. This is when the Geminid meteor shower will put on a show high above Wyoming.
The meteor shower in Wyoming will appear when the Earth hits what is referred to as "asteroid dust." Taking place every December, the beautiful result is near constant “shooting stars" lighting up the skies.
The best way to see the show is by being in a dark place. Of course, light pollution can cause a problem, but places like Devils Tower and some of the other darkest spots in the state should provide clear viewing.
Neither cold nor rain (well, maybe rain!) can keep us away from checking out this beauty. Where do you plan on watching? Despite there being so many places to watch from, we want to make sure we’ve got optimal viewing suggestions!
