Wyoming may be the remaining heart of the west, but tucked away in the southeast corner of the state is a fairytale mansion that is as far from characteristic cowboys and log cabins as you can get.
The Nagle Warren Mansion in Cheyenne is actually a bed and breakfast, and it’s so elegant you won’t be able to resist staying there. Built in 1888 and fully restored over a century later, the mansion perfectly mixes historic culture with modern conveniences to make for an experience you’ll never forget.
The Nagle Warren Mansion is located at 222 East 17th Street in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Though quite large, it's a darling house that looks like it's straight out of a fairytale.
As enchanting as the outside is, the interior of the mansion is just as posh, right down to the tin ceiling tiles and carved wood paneling and railings.
The mansion was originally built in 1888 by Erasmus Nagle, a successful Wyoming merchant. It is sad to note that Mr. Nagle and his wife only lived in the luxurious house for about 2 years before he passed away.
Between 1929 and 1997, the house served at times as housing for single women, a social gathering place, and a private home. 1997 is when the current owner purchased it and restored it with the intention of opening an elegant bed and breakfast.
The Nagle Warren Mansion has 12 guest rooms - 6 in the main house and 6 in the carriage house out back.
The dinner menu is even more extensive with choices like filet mignon en croute, roasted buffalo round with au jus, and chicken, lamb, and, pork dinners, too. However, the management requests that groups of diners agree on one dinner each night.
The mansion hosts events throughout the year including a romantic Valentine's Day getaway and occasional Murder Mystery Dinners. The facility is also available for those who want to host a private dinner or special party.
