There’s Nothing Better Than This Epic Festival in Wyoming
If you’re looking for the ultimate festival that epitomizes everything about Wyoming culture and mountain lifestyle, you’ve got to come to Targhee Fest. Going strong since 2005, this annual 3-day party combines awesome music, amazing food, and epic fun all in the stunning shadow of the magnificent Grand Tetons. Come prepared to have the time of your life!
Targhee Fest happens every July at the Grand Targhee resort located at 3300 Ski Hill Road in Alta, Wyoming.
It's a weekend of music, fun, food, camping (for those who want to rough it), and a whole lot more.
If you don't enjoy sleeping in a tent, comfortable indoor lodging is just steps away at the resort.
The music starts Friday at 4 p.m. and continues on through the weekend.
Some names you may recognize, like Suzanne Vega, and some maybe not. One thing is for sure: you'll enjoy everyone in the lineup.
Though the music is the at the center of Targhee Fest, there are loads of other things to do. Vendors set up booths and display their unique wares, most of them handcrafted items including jewelry, musical instruments, distinctive clothing, and crafts that you won't find anywhere else.
There is a kids fun zone, too, with cool activities that adults enjoy getting in on as well.
There's something to enjoy about every minute of the entire weekend.
You can also indulge in some of the typical summer activities while you're at Targhee Fest such as hiking, biking, or perusing the shops at the resort.
And don't forget the food! Grand Targhee prides itself in offering food that's a cut above the usual festival-type fare. The nosh at this festival is made from fresh, locally-sourced produce and meats.
They're particularly proud of the delicious gourmet pizza offered at the festival...
...but an entire menu of delicious cuisine is available.
The music doesn't stop when the sun goes down. That's when things get kicked up a notch.
In fact, the late night show has become so popular that festival-goers can get tickets exclusively for the 10:30 jam.
You can buy a 1-day pass, a 3-day pass, or tickets for the late-nite concerts Friday and Saturday.
Three days in the gorgeous Wyoming outdoors listening to great music is an unforgettable way to spend a weekend.
