The One Place In Wyoming That’s Bright And Colorful All Year Long

Spring in Wyoming is always a bit of a wildcard. It can be 70 degrees one day, and snowing the next. The wind and weather, combined with our long frost risk period, can make it hard to grow extraordinary gardens, unless you really know what you’re doing. Luckily, you don’t have to be an expert landscaper to enjoy seasonal blooms all year long. The Cheyenne Botanic Garden is bursting at the seams with gorgeous flora, both native to Wyoming and imported from around the world.

Visit the gardens in Lions Park at 710 S Lions Park Dr, Cheyenne, WY 82001. They’re open from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 12 p.m to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Visit their website here for more information about seasonal exhibits.

If you prefer to track down wildflowers yourself, plan a hiking trip to The Wondrous Lake in Paintbrush Canyon, and you’ll spot the most stunning flora and fauna around.
